Christmas In August
Love Offering - Sunday, August 29 at the conclusion of Morning Worship. "Christmas in August" is a nationwide ministry program sponsored by the G.A's throughout the Southern Baptist Convention. The G.A.'s in each church pick a missionary or group of missionaries to aid them in their ministry. As we all know, there is always more need than funds. So, our G.A.'s respond with a love offering or specific gifts to assist missionaries with a particular need. Our G.A. chapter has chosen two missionaries within our own state. Your love offering will be well used and deeply appreciated by our missionaries. We still have some days left in August for you to make your gift. Please make your check payable to First Baptist Church and designate it to "Christmas in August".
Deacon Election
Our Deacons have prayerfully compiled the nominations for deacon and will present their recommendation for these four spiritually qualified men to serve the Lord's Church this Sunday morning. These are faithful men who love the Lord and support First Baptist with their prayers, attendance and tithe. Pray that the Lord would lead us to elect the men He would have to lead His church.
Fifth Sunday Covered Dish Luncheon August 29, immediately following Morning Worship in the Fellowship Hall. Make plans to join us.
