Senior Pastor – Dr. Ronny Spillers

Our senior pastor is a native of Georgia.  He has been married to his wife, Carole, since July 1960, and they have 2 married daughters, Leah Rebekah Booth and Rachel Lynn Cannady, and 2 grandsons, Matthew Lake Booth and Jacob Archer Booth.  Ronny graduated from Lanier Senior High School in Macon in June 1960.  He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgia College in Milledgeville, a Doctor of Ministry and Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.  He has 41 years of pastoral experience, ministering as senior pastor at Central Baptist Church, Warner Robins, GA, First Baptist Church, Snellville, GA, The Rock Baptist Church, Rex, GA and several college and seminary churches. 

Ronny has also served as Intentional interim pastor at First Baptist Church, Lawrenceville, GA, Mabel White Baptist Church, Macon, GA, Northside Baptist Church, Valdosta, GA, and Oak Hill Baptist Church, Griffin, GA.  His pastoral highlights and ministries cover a wide range of service, from preschool to senior adult ministries, as well as international and multi-lingual ministries.  He is also a marriage and family counselor.  In theology, Dr. Spillers is a conservative; in methodology, he is flexible in discovering new and exciting ways to proclaim the Gospel.  His hobbies are enjoying family and traveling, and he is a private pilot having held a Private Pilot Certificate since 1962.

Minister of Youth - Mitch Royals

Mitch began his ministry with our church in June of 2000.  He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but was raised in Wildwood, Florida.  He is a graduate of WildwoodHigh School and King’s ChristianCollege.  Mitch has been in numerous types of employment, all of them involving managing people.  His wife, Linda, is a native of Long Beach, California, but lived in many places while growing up in a military family.  They are the parents of two children, Jennifer and Aaron.  Mitch’s hobbies include scouting, woodworking, and reading. Minister of Music - Mark Payne

Mark grew up on a small farm in Montrose, Georgia.  After graduating from West Laurens High School, he was trained as an electrician at Macon/Area Technical school.  At the age of 23 he answered the Call to serve the Lord through music and attended Brewton Parker College where he earned a BA in Music Education.  While in college he met Jan and they were married in 1980.  Jan is an elementary school teacher and enjoys music and working with roses.  They are the parents of Julie who also loves music and computer games.  Mark plays guitar, writes songs, lifts weights and likes working with the computer.  Church Secretary - Pam Roberts

Pam is a native of Colquitt, Georgia, and a graduate of MillerCountyHigh School and AlbanyJunior College.  She was employed by Clenney Insurance Agency for 15 years, and by ColquittUnitedMethodistChurch, where she served for 13 years.  Pam joined the FirstBaptistChurch staff in March 2003.  She is married to Scot Roberts, also a native of Colquitt.  They are the parents of two grown children, Ashley and Erin, and are active members of New Home Freewill Baptist Church of Miller County.  Pam’s interests are music and working with youth in her church.
